Argo2.5D serves to maintain security in dangerous areas on machines and other plants. The image processing system recognises objects and their movements within a large monitored area in real time. In doing so, it differentiates between permitted and non-permitted directions of motion of objects, and is thus able, for example, to distinguish between the desired movement of machine parts and external man-induced events. The consideration of the direction of motion helps to avoid cost-intensive downtimes. Argo2.5D provides a flexible definition of warning and protection areas, and uses software that is able to select and parameterise these areas. The training function, including the definition of the permitted directions of motion, is particularly user-friendly. The only necessary step is to demonstrate the permitted movement in the surveyed field to the system. At the touch of a button, this is then used as reference for the selected section. Among other application fields, Argo2.5D can be used for packaging machines, conveyor belts and assembly lines as well as for the environment of industrial robots.
